Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) aka Wild Clover.

Qualities of Note:
Diuretic
Expectorant
Cautions: May have Estrogen-like effects.
In European folk medicine the flowering tops where made into a tea to stimulate the liver and gallbladder. A more recent claim to fame is it’s inclussion into an “essiac” type formula along with watercress, kelp, and milk thistle and the susposed original four “essiac” herbs burdock root, slippery elm, sheep sorrel, and indian/turkey rhubarb.
Red Clover is reputed as well to purify the blood, assists with baterial infection, inflamation of the lungs and bowls, aids with kidney issues, liver disease, improves immune system function and has a benefit with skin disorders.
